The Student to Student Revit Guide.

I am proud to introduce you to the very first installment of, "The Student to Student Guide to Revit".  Our first project is a house from start to finish.

A buddy of mine has been telling me he would like to see more basic tutorials on the blog.  This spawned the idea of creating a series of tutorials.  What better way to learn Revit than to see a house being created from start to finish?

The house I am using is a house I designed in a design studio BEFORE I knew Revit.  We will call the house "Harbor House".  I have developed a lesson plan for each step of the building process.  Stay tuned and enjoy!

The topics in the first video are:

- Importing CAD Drawings into Revit
- Setting up text and font
- Tweaking Project Units.

This is the kind of blog i've been looking for.
Great job!

I was wondering of somewhere along the line you would be able to provide a tutorial or series of tutorials dealing with creating custom parametric objects such as doors, windows, furniture, etc

Thanks Juan!

I actually plan on fitting that into the student to student guide. I chose to do this house because it has a lot of custom pieces to it... If there is anything specific you had in mind let me know and I will do a seperate tutorial. The Student to Student Guide will cover the entire house from start to finish including windows, doors, furniture, stairs, railings, floors, etc...

Kid

You have produced so many good tutorial videos very quickly.

As the Ribbon is coming one has to ask the question how useful are they and come to that all video tutorial created pre 2010, going to be once the whole User Interface has been altered

2010 which is only weeks away from being launched?
