Tutorital - Phasing and Wall Clean Up

Receieved and email from Chris:

..."Jeff,

I am new to revit and now the basics, so I am hoping you can help me. I have a house that am trying to start in revit but I am running into weird problems. I have a house with existing conditions and am remodeling and adding new walls. If you look at the new construction or proposed plans, I am having an issue getting the points were the new walls and old walls join to clean up at the Reference plane I have set up. Any thoughts or am I doing something wrong? Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.."

I hope the following video helps.

Hey Jeff,

I've found its easier if
- you draw your new wall,
- then select it, right click on the blue grip dot
- under the options select dis-allow wall join,
This meas the new wall will not try to attach with the exising middle wall. note you will get a definate line at the end of the wall on plan.

Hope this Helps

Peter
Great tip! That completely slipped my mind! I might have to repost your comment so everyone notices it!

Thanks!
The 'Join Geometry' tool will create a clean join between the two walls by removing the definate line at the end, while still having the walls disallowing join.
en realidad me parece que deberia depurar tu video porque das la impresión de no dominar el tema y que te equivocas repetidamente altratar de demostrar algo que no te sale bien

saludos
