Revit 2014 Cloud Issue - "A Problem Occurred. File Could Not be Translated. -1"

Apparently there is a known issue with Revit 2014 and Autodesk Cloud Rendering.  The issue will through a dialogue box that states: "A Problem Occurred. File Could Not be Translated. -1"


Why does this happen?




The error occurs because of elements that have duplicate Element ID's (which is weird because I always thought Element ID's were unique!)  In most cases the problems seems to be with the Stair category.  Autodesk will apparently be fixing this issue in the first Service Pack for 2014.  Until then, no cloud renderings of Stairs for us!

It's not just about rendering a stair. When it errors out you can't send any view to the cloud. That model file is dead in the water when it comes to rendering to the cloud. I wish I knew what causes it so I could work around it.

I'm not convinced 2014 was ready for release . . . . . . . Na Autodesk would Neeeeever do that.

I found a way to solve this problem.I am dealing with this problem for a long time.And finally I found a way.Some type of groups cause this problem.For example in your file a type of floor can cause this problem.The solution is to find which type of elements cause this problem and changes its type.In order to find which type of elements cause the problem open 3d view .Select a floor ,for instance, and type S+A (or right click + select all instance + in entire Project).This will help you to select all of the floors which are same type.After that delete these.And try to render again.If the problem remain,try this method for other types.For example,try walls,furnitures or maybe other types of floors. And after find which cause the problem,change its type and render.

NOTE:You should reveal all hidden elements in the 3d view if there are.
