Revit Pattern (.pat) Source File

You may remember a handout a colleague of mine, Doug, created explaining view depths.  Well, he created another super informative handout about Revit pattern (.pat) files.  Additionally, he created a Revit source file that contains a bunch of pattern files!  Doug was nice enough to let me share it with all of you.

Enjoy...

Thanks Doug!

BIM After Dark:

If you enjoyed the information above then you will definitely enjoy my first product (BIM After Dark).  The video series is live now and is jam packed with tips like the one above.  You will also be able to get sample files (from full Revit projects, to families, to texture libraries).

This is great. The shortage of OOTB pattern files has always irked me. You wouldn't by chance have the actual .pat files that the Revit Source file is created from?
Is this pdf created from existing pats on Revit? ortherwise could you share the pat file(s)?
How do we extract the individual pattern files (txt) from the RVT file?

Hi, I am new in revit,, but I have a problem to download this hatch pattern for my used, and every day I see
this pages for new thinks, and I so this, but I can not download, I don't now what is the problem, If somebody can help me to download this pat, for my work, thanks Manny Lopez
Cant download the PAT File?
Our new HatchKit 2014 for Revit can extract selected fills from Revit to text .PAT files.

Note Revit installs a set of standard patterns in a file called revit.pat containing helpful comments describing the hatch pattern format from which patterns can be selectively loaded at varying scale to Revit. This file and other .PAT files can also be edited and uploaded to Revit through HatchKit 2014 using our HatchKit Add-In for Revit which has the ability to load patterns ungoverned by the scale restriction imposed by the Revit fill pattern manager - very large patterns can now be loaded 1:1 into Revit.
Thank You for creating and sharing these files. I appreciate your effort.

Hello.
First, copy the patterns from the revit file
Second, paste them somewhere in your floor plans.
Third, check the patterns you have.
Done.
