Revit Tutorial - Creating a Jerkinhead (Half-Hipped) Roof

The "jerkinhead" (also called "half-hipped"or "clipped gable") roof is a funky one to model. But, like many approaches to Revit, Occam's razor applies... There are always more than one way to solve a problem in Revit but I always find the simplest solutions is usually the best.  So, how would I model a jerkinhead roof using Revit's roof tool?  Continue reading to find out...

great help.
Actually, you don't have to split anything! All you have to do is set an plate offset on the two roof defining lines(the whole line, without any splitting).

when I do this the fascia gets wider than the rake any way to keep it the same thickness?
True. It depends on whether you want to control the offset points.
