Revit 2012 Student Downloads AVAILABLE!

Well...  Autodesk decided to up the anti and beat my original estimated date.  This is the earliest I have seen new releases in the Education Community for Autodesk Products.... THANK YOU AUTODESK.  My account shows all disciplines are available.

Log into your Autodesk Student Community homepage and download now!

There are currently 2.2 Million members of the Student Community.  When I started this blog, only 2 years ago, there were less than 1 million.  I would like to think I might have had something to do with it, but I doubt it.  All I know is that 2.2 million people have the possibility of using Revit 2012 ABSOLUTELY FREE!  That, to me, is incredible.

Your students have to register with Autodesk education website http://students.autodesk.com and have to input their college email address. Once registered they can download Revit 2012 which has a 3 year subscription.
Hi Bobby, just wanted to know if there is a subscription you have to pay after a period of use (i.e., 30 days)?
Hi, just a question, how much would the student edition cost?
hi there. the student versions work for 6 months for free! i just downloaded it and i have a problem however, there is nothing in the revit library :-(

any ideas? please send me a mail to: mrnielsen [at] mr-nielsen.dk
(extra comment to subsribe to new comments)

HI! I am a beginner. Starting building design school this coming semester. I want to start teaching myself how to use autocad (as I'm slow at tech stuff and need to practice a lot to get anywhere).
My question is- do I need both autocad and Revit? can I just skip straight to Revit if I've never done any computer design ever?
I tried finding info online but there doesn't seem to be anything re the relationship between the two.
Any info would be a big help.
Thanks!
Revit is easier to use. You don't need to know Autocad to start Revit.
