Revit Tip - Move View from One Sheet to Another

This is one of those things that will frustrate the heck out of you! Let's say you have a set of views on one sheet and you want to move them to another sheet... What do you normally do?  I know I used to delete the views and then re-drag them onto the new sheet...   That can be a pain!

So what's the easier way?...

Select and drag!

1. Expand the sheet you are moving views from in the Project Browser
2. Select the view you would like to move...
3. Click and drag it onto the new sheet (either in the browser or if you have the sheet open).


Tah dah!

You just saved yourself the hassle of deleting a view, finding the view, opening the sheet, and dragging the view on.

I got really excited when I first read this, I was hoping you could drag the whole bunch and they would got to the new sheet in the same spot... Oh well. But this is still a really cool tip!

Hey factory, we want more drag and drop in Project Browser!

Haha. The first thing I tried to do when I discovered this was drag more than one view! Fail.

You can select more than one but when you go to drag it only pulls the view you start dragging from.

Only legends and schedules can be on multiple sheets...

dragging & dropping views onto sheet loses views in project browser - how did that happen? Using Revit 2015.
any help appreciated.

Do you know if there is a way to move views from one sheet to another and keep all the formatting intact? When I drag the views to a new sheet (or insert for the first time) I have to change the view "Type" so it has proper Title line, shorten the line, move the Title, etc...must be a way to save the work.
