Tutorial - 3D Dimensions

A reader sent an email asking about how 3D Dimensions in Revit 2010 work...

could you please try to do the same tutorial with a modeled in place family of any type (let's say a wall) modeled with a swept blend form based on a path that is an arc and with two shapes that are simple rectangles with different sizes and proportions. Then make a section and then try to dimension the section in order to find out what the size of the swept blend form is at the point of the section. I do not think this is possible!
How do I revise a north orientation on the plan of a 2009 revit model I'm currently developing?

Very nice lesson, but why oh why would Autodesk make you waste time by selecting the work plane each time you want to add a string - isn't it obvious what you are trying to dimension? Wish Revit were as smart as Sketchup in this regard. Autodesk has a lot to learn from Google - stop overcomplicating your software - make it simple and intuitive!
