I received a few emails about the rendering material/settings I used to create the polished concrete floor on my design studio project seen in the picture below. Also, some of you may like this previous post about creating custom materials and bumps..

I've seen your tutorials, great blog you have going on here.
I'm quite amazed on how good your perspectives are, specially interiors ones like this one. I can't get the same result and was looking for some tips, I do not have a pic right now to shwo you, but any general guidelines would be helpful.
And how long did it take to render that scene? What settings did you use? High? Have you tried rendering in Vray/max?
cheers!

my question is if you or anyone else here can explain to me how to create a custom planting family. what i need is a boxwood shrub that i can adjust all 3 parameters to fix differant projects. for example in one side of a building i may need 2 - 8ft long shrubs but on the next side of that same building there is only room to place a 5ft long shrub. and the ones that come out of the box are set to be basically square. then you can just scale them by setting the height.. not very helpful.
